A member asked:

What causes 2 periods in 1 month, but none the next? and my periods are always regular.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many possibilities: Periods usually come 2 weeks after ovulation (egg release). 2 in 1 month -if 21 days or more apart-are often normal Skipping can be due to failure to ovulate. If the irregular cycles continue, seeing a provider may give a more exact answer
