What causes pain behind your right ear. i've been having allergy flair ups could this be related and what do you do to stop it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tendonitis: The area behind the ear is the mastoid process. If you do not have any hearing loss or any pus from the ear canal, the most common cause of pain just behind the ear is inflammation of the attachment of the large neck muscle (SCM) that attaches to the mastoid process. Heat and analgesics for a week. If not better, see an ENT doctor.
