Causes for sore throat, swollen tonsils, blood running down back of throat, bad cough, earache, headache, nausea?

URI: The blood in throat is unusual, but everything else sounds like a bad case of pharyngitis, URI, mono, flu, etc. Perhaps tonsils are so enflamed and swollen that coughing violently caused them to bleed? I recommend going to urgent care for exam.
