Are there any treatments for down babies?

See below: A child with Down syndrome should be tested for hypothyroidism. They should also have an echo cardiogram, and annual eye exams. They will benefit from early intervention services, pt and ot, as well. In addition, children with Down syndrome have varying degrees of dysfunction. They can also have behavioral problems, which can benefit form behavioral therapy, and possible medications.

Depends: The needs of individual DS babies vary considerably. We monitor them for problems that they have more often than regular kids, but otherwise they get the therapies we use for the problems that arise. There is no special diet, although it has been offered. There is no special therapy to correct the disorder.Lime many chronic conditions, there are many who seek/sell therapies.
