A member asked:

Seems like my case of torticollis may have turned into an abscess.. is this possible??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neck mass: Torticollis is rare beyond childhood, and never turns into abscess. If you have good reason to suspect a neck abscess then you need to go to an ER immediately to get evaluated. And you likely didn't have torticollis in that case, but a neck infection or enlarged lymph node that turned to pus - this commonly happens. This sounds urgently serious.
