Many possible reason: It can take up to a year to get pregnant. If you are still not pregnant after a year of unprotected intercourse, then it is time to see a fertility specialist. It could be a problem with you or with your partner or you both could be sub-fertile. Smoking does decrease sperm counts and if he is a smoker he needs to stop ( it also increases miscarriages so you should also stop if you smoke)
