Kidney failure: If you have kidney failure, you will reach a point when you will need kidney replacement therapy (peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis). But you can also consider kidney transplant. Yes, you have to adapt to this changes, and certainly will be different than a person with no kidney failure, but you will be able to have a positive and almost normal life, especially if you get a transplant.
