Polio Treatment: In about 90% of cases of polio - there are no symptoms. There is not a cure for polio. If there is respiratory paralysis, ventilators may be needed. Typical treatments are supportive. Medication to prevent pain, nutritious food plan, antibiotics for infection prevention & an exercise regiment. Sometimes surgery, braces & occupation or physical therapy are indicated.
