Skin color: There are other pigments that contibute to skin color besides melanin. For example, people can get brownish discoloration on their lower legs from hemosiderin which results from bleeding into the skin and degradation of the hemoglobin. Liver disease can lead to jaundice which would be a yellowish color. Some medication can color the skin.
