It depends: If you had a previous c/section for a reason that does not preclude VBAC, I would let you go to 41 completed weeks, induce your labor, continue induction as long as your cervix keeps dilating, and recommend a repeat c/section if you had not delivered within 8 hours after your cervix had been 4 cm dilated. After 41 weeks the likelihood that the baby passes in the womb increases significantly.
