A member asked:

What to do if i have herpes gestationis, 31 week pregnany help me please?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Valtrex (valacyclovir): Many OB docs can but you on Valtrex (valacyclovir) or another Acyclovir viral treatment regimen to suppress the virus. Herpes is more common than you think and can be managed well. It is best to inform the Dr taking care of the infant about your history. What you would prefer is that there are no Herpes lesions present at time of delivery-so Valtrex (valacyclovir) will help with this, :-)
