Get tested for HIV: If you are concerned about HIV infection, you should get tested for HIV to confirm if you have it. This is because treatment of HIV may help prevent you from getting sick. In addition, getting tested for HIV may alleviate your worries if the HIV tests come back negative. I generally recommend that everyone should know their HIV status, especially if sexually active.

Fear: Play safe. Don't share needles. Use condoms until you're in a stable marriage. Do this and your chances of getting HIV are basically zero. If you've done something dangerous, get checked. It's fairly hard to catch HIV. If you have obsessive thoughts that you're infected and you know they're not rational, a few hours talking with a skilled mind-cure about life / love will help greatly.
