How do you become an ent?

Lots of study: After 4 years of medical school, 4-6 years of residency and the possibility of a fellowship in a specific area of the Head and Neck, you probably will be 30 to 32 years of age. Good Luck.

Residency and...: In the U.S., a general ENT surgeon (otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon) has completed 4 yrs of medical school followed by 5 yrs of very intensive medical and surgical training (residency). Some ENTs go on to do a fellowship, which is 1-3 yrs of additional sub-specialty training in fields such as advanced ear surgery, sinus surgery, pediatric ENT, facial plastic surgery, and voice/swallowing.
