What is nocardiosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Subtle infection: Nocardia is a family of bacteria that are easily missed if they're not suspected. They cause foot infections that can be severe, or in immunocompromised, lung or systemic infections that are hard to diagnose. They are quite resistant to ordinary antimicrobial agents.
