A member asked:

I am 24 weeks pregnant and was weened off of suboxone by a doctor but am still having trouble sleeping, what can i safely take take to help me sleep?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I am concerned about: what you and your doctor did. The relapse rate in pregnant women with opioid abuse, if taken off agonist therapy, is around 90%. Relapsing to your drug of choice will be far worse than remaining on suboxone, which is very safe in pregnancy, and produces generally a mild neonatal abstinence syndrome than Methadone or street drugs, and in fewer babies. You need to ask your ? to an OB provider.
