Rectal bleeding: If your bowel movements are normal except for bright red blood, hemorrhoids are most likely present. If you have associated loose movements,then inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis may be the problem. Nevertheless rectal bleeding is abnormal and must be investigated by a physician. I assume the blood is from the rectum and not the urinary bladder. blood in the urine is also abnormal
