Hmm....: Without an actual examination, I cannot give specific medical advice on your particular health, while a simple viral infection can cause (reversible) bowel thickening from inflammation, there are several features of a more serious nature mentioned: increased WBC Pain getting studies fluid Other conditions like inflammatory bowel disease would be more serious and less reversible

Bowel Disease: I t looks like u have an inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD, which may include Ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or some type of Diverticulitis. They frequently get flareups with bacteria requiring antibiotics.
