can see artery pulsating on left side of neck when standing straight. not seen before. mild discomfort of left side too..

RU thin?: Your normal carotid artery is often visible, especially in thin people. Aneurysms are not visible and are diagnosed by ultrasound - they are extremely rare in the neck. Carotid disease is not painful. That would be caused by something else, usually muscle strain.
