Walking is GOOD IDEA: We can't go back in time to do a confirmatory clinical trail, but it has been speculated that Americans had less constipation and reflux in the old days because we walked more and this helped move things along in the GI tract. Now that we are more sedentary the GI is slower which causes problems. Anecdotally, i can say I haven't had any athletes (daily exercise)present with these problems.
