What to do if i'm feeling as if people with certain mental disorders play the victim instead of taking responsibility?

Don't judge: Your feelings are not wrong or unusual. People who have close relationships with mentally disordered people can feel that way. Try and remember that not taking responsibility may be part of the illness. You can know, this without enabling that behavior. Most important, put your energy into taking care of yourself. Try not to focus on resentment, which will only make you feel worse.

People w/physical: disorders can also play the victim. Carolynne Mysse has a book out called "Why people don't heal" that deals with the victim role. It's not science but it may be helpful. Peace and good health.
