Why do you ask?: Most of these are scams. Shooting ultraviolet light at your drinking water isn't going to make it any safer, and the reverse osmosis procedures intended to remove minerals aren't going to make most municipal drinking water safer. In areas of the US where law has broken down, and in some resource-poor countries, there has been serious contamination. Otherwise, spend your $800 dollars more wisely.
