See details: I assume you mean equina or cauda equina syndrome since equine has to do with horses. It is caused by compression of nerves at the bottom end of the spinal cord. Symptoms include back pain, and loss of sensation in the area of the genitals and anus, groin and inner thighs. It can also cause bowel and bladder issues, sexual dysfunction and rarely paraplegia.

Equine syndrome: Most likely you mean Cauda-Equina syndrome. That is compression of the nerve roots within the lumbar spine. It can lead to weakness in the legs, stool incontinence and urinary retention.
