Several reasons: I presume that the surgeon also performed middle ear surgery. If so the graft may not yet have healed. If the mastoidectomy communicates with the outer ear (modified radical mastoidectomy), the mastoid area is not yet healed or epithelialized. Your surgeon is obviously the doctor to consult because we do not know exactly what the pathology was nor the technique used.

See below: Problems like these can only be correctly handled by your doctor in person. He/she needs to listen to you, perform an examination and possibly run labs or other tests. That's the only way he/she can find out what's going on and what to do about it.
