A member asked:

Is it true when you are breastfeeding it is already one form of contraception?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Some women do not ovulate or have menses during breastfeeding. However, the process is not a dependable form of birth control if it matters to you. Ovulation still can and does occur and many who have thought this would protect them have had a second pregnancy while breast feeding.
