A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: Mild regurgitation = normal life expectancy severe regurgitation, sudden onset = death in hours, days, weeks or months depending on other factors and with no treatment. Severe chronic regurgitation=good prognosis with treatment; without treatment = chronic congestive heart failure and eventual death. Hard to be more specific without more facts.
