Just watch...: The described red spot might have been there all along your life, but just recently noticed. If so, just a tiny harmless vessel cluster, or a mole. So, if not hurting, don't pick on it and just watch for next few months to see if it changes in size, color, height, etc. Of course, if still in doubt, see Doc timely for verification since it's hard to derive an accurate Dx without a direct look at it
