Considering: Is there a rash with the itching or just the bad itching? It could be a reaction to the increased hormones in your body, but it could also be something more serious like intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, where the bile doesn't flow normally through your liver and can deposit in the skin. This can be harmful to the baby. There are many other options. Consult your doctor or midwife to be sure.
