Low fat diet: Your best bet to keep gb attacks at bay is eating a low fat diet. Avoid fatty and greasy foods. Avoid, mayonnaise, avocado , nuts, peanut butter, chips, fast food, butter, and full fat salad dressings. Eat pretzels and sherbet for snacks. Milk chocolate is also to be avoided. I know of no meds to prevent gb attacks. Good luck.

Sure of diagnosis?: The gallbladder concentrates bile from the liver & mixes it with food to digest dietary fats. When gb is sick, you may feel right sided abdominal &/or back pain with meals, & have tenderness in the right upper abdomen. Worst case is obstruction of bile ducts with jaundice (yellow color), have dark urine, tan stools &/or pancreas may inflame. Does this describe you, or need correct diagnosis?
