I was treated with Penicillin for primary syphilis a month ago. Currently, Lymphocytes is 48.2% (Ref:20-40) and ESR is 14 (Ref: 0-10). HIV, HCV Ab, HBsAg are -ve. Is it normal for lymphocytes and ESR to stay elevated? Or could it be another infection?
Recent Hep B tests: HBsAg - negative HBcAb (total) - negative HBsAb - positive (vaccinated 15 yrs ago) Was hospitalized 7 yrs ago with acute viral hepatitis. All acute screens at that time were negative (A/B/C). How likely is occult infection?
