It can: There are several studies that do show efficacy of Gabapentin in helping ease the effects of opiate and Suboxone withdrawal.However, my personal concern is that you can become dependent upon the Gabapentin if taken for a long period of time and you will deal with side effect with trying to come off that as well.Definitely do this under supervision of a doc, and keep open dialogue between each other
