Is there anyone out there that has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy who is also the child of one with it?

Cardiomyopathy: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (hcm) can be familial. So, yes, there are children of parents with hcm who also have hcm. If this is the case in your family, then you should discuss appropriate evaluation of family members with your physician.
