The issue is that it: can stay in your infant for 4-6 weeks. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that moms & dads abstain from smoking marijuana. The infant both inhales 2nd-hand smoke & gets it thru breast milk. Long-term studies can't be done before legalization. Some studies show sedation, delayed motor development, increased risk of SIDS if either parent smokes, & impaired ability to caretake the infant.
