Muscle fatigue: Sleeping in one position for a long period of time can cause the muscles that have the pressure of your weight on them to become fatigued and sore. If you are feeling some discomfort when taking a deep breath the muscles in and around your rib cage and mid back may be experiencing this fatigue and causing that soreness or discomfort when you breathe. Try making an effort to roll over in bed more.
