A member asked:

Got postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, will building muscle really help with the blood pooling etc?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

POTS: Treating POTS is usually with lifestyle modification. You should drink more fluids, increase activity as tolerated and strengthen lower extremity muscles will definitely help. You should avoid long periods of standing in the beginning. Once you become physically very fit, you might be able to overcome this condition. Sometimes, medications like beta blockers can help.
