PCOS: Oral contraceptives will "artificially" give you a period each month if you have PCOS. This is beneficial in two ways. First, you will know when your period will appear - more convenient than not knowing. Second, in the long run these pills will decrease your higher risk of developing cancer of the lining of the uterus. And, of course, they will provide you with contraception.
