Both are normal.: Most labs use as a normal range for platelets to be 150, 000 to 450, 000. The slight increase you wrote of are not concerning. Anisocytosis refers to change in size---not all the same size platelets. Large platelets can be associated with many things, including bone marrow replacement with younger platelets. Smaller platelets can be associated with different genetic conditions or may be normal.
