Usually not: Individuals with lax joints sometimes develop joint pain or even frank dislocations secondary to this increased laxity. More often than not this seems to be an issue more in the shoulder than other joints. However the vast majority of people who can for example hyper-extend their knees or elbows really don't experience joint problems.
