Difficult: Your cerclage will be checked by your OB either by inspection or ultrasound. I prefer ultrasound to check for length of cervix and any beaking membranes (amniotic sac pushing into the cervix). You should call your doc if you have pressure or increased discharge (especially watery, mucousy, or blood-tinged) for an evaluation. Try to keep pressure off your cervix and good luck. Avoid any straining.
