Not been proven: Herpes is a virus infection, so can be transmitted by contact with another person who has a herpes infection or who carries the virus. Herpes simplex 1 and 2 are the common oral and/or genital herpes infections that people call "herpes". (herpes zoster is shingles, caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox.) contradicting information for lysine and arginine is all over the internet.
