I have to assume that stool cultures and other stool exams as well as blood tests have been done. 18/30 days sounds like a bit much. Your physician may wish to consider some medication to slow down the intestinal traffic. If the diagnosis proves to be ulcerative colitis, then other specific meds may be appropriate.
