A member asked:

Grandfather who is 85 is diagnosis with alzheimer's but barely showing signs. i'm 31, should i become concerned for early onset alzheimer? i do have add, diagnosis when i was 14.

Family with AD: A 1st degree family member confers the greatest amount of risk to contracting any disease which is genetically linked such as alzheimer's. 2nd degree relatives pose a risk as well but less. I'm not sure why you would think about "early onset" from what you told me. Your grandfather is 85 and relatively intact. That would suggest if anything, later onset if at all.
