Can be: Sorry for your loss! bleeding on and off up to six weeks after miscarriage can happen. If you did not have a d&c (procedure to empty the uterus) see your provider for blood work to make sure the pregnancy hormone test is going back down to zero, and ultrasound to make sure the uterus is empty, if necessary. Also for birth control if needed or advice on future pregnancy if desired.

Withdrawal bleeding: This is withdrawal bleeding, bleeding that happens with hormonal birth control. Hormonal birth control increases these levels and stops feedback that tell ovaries to release eggs. Stopping hormones, causes you to shed the lining of the uterus and you get a "period". To stop ovulation you must start within 7 days and take for 21 days. You are not protected. Use condoms and ec for backup.

If miscarriage : A home pregnancy test may still be positive. Follow up with your doctor for any excessive or persistent bleeding or pain. If you need blood work; your doctor should be able to tell. All the best.
