Depends: Probably not, but that all depends on which iud you have. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) supposedly expires at 5 years, but we have data suggesting it works at least 7 years. The paragard supposedly expires after 10 years, but we have good data that it lasts 12 years, and potentially longer. Which did you get?
