No great answer: There is no way to "measure" stress, so it is hard to say. Severe stress associated with not eating can certainly affect your menstrual cycle, but most people's stress is not that severe. Check in with an obgyn for an exam and some reassurance. Good luck.

Disrupted cycles: Stress can disrupt menstrual cycle, so that it is longer or shorter than usual. This makes it harder to know when ovulation is happening, or whether it's even happening at all. Stress is not a reliable birth control method, though. There are much safer ones that at 18, you can discuss with your physician.
