STILL get periods: Getting your 'tubes tied' only affects your fertility (ability to get pregnant). You still have periods and all that goes with them--sorry.

Yes: Tying off tubes just closes the tunnel the sperm use to find the egg, Close the tunnel (Cut, burn, tie off) and there is no chance for the egg & sperm to get together. Your body will still make hormones and act as if the tubes were still open. You will still cycle just as before. If you don't want to cycle get a hysterectomy.
