A member asked:

Will my child be religious? is it inborn?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"metaneed": There are "needs" - food, water, shelter - that we have to have to survive; and there are "metaneeds" that we seek to fulfill to give life meaning. Some people will have a "metaneed" for faith while others will seek success, knowledge, service to others, etc.
