A member asked:

I bit into a bagel, it was overcooked, and it felt like some of the crumbs went in my nose, is that dangerous? does the body just work this stuff out?

Mucous Clearance: Debris that enters the nose would likely be trapped in mucous, which would then be eliminated through mucociliary clearance mechanisms. Larger objects can remain stuck in the nose, however, and could require removal by a physician.

No problem: Foreign objects in the nose which are small enough to be expelled will be removed with the mucus in a sneeze.
