can you tell me if i hold my nose in and sneeze can i burst my eardrum?

Dr. Heidi Fowler
24 years experience Psychiatry
Not Sure: Keeping the lips closed to prevent sneezing can propel the force against the middle ear which can lead to pain & ringing of the ears. Rarely, sneezing can lead to a fracture.
