A member asked:

Can you tell me if my cortisol has been high , will it go down randomly and up and down again?

Diurnal variation: Hi. Yes, in normal, healthy people, cortisol fluctuates throughout the 24-hour period. It peaks at around 8 AM, and troughs around midnight. The "up & down" cortisol thing is normal human physiology.

Unclear: Your question is not clear. Has someone been checking your cortisol level, or are you describing how you feel? Cortisol is a hormone that normal fluctuates throughout the day, and related to physical stress. These are normal responses and don't necessarily mean that anything is wrong.
