What are scabies and how does it look on children?

Skin mites: Scabies is a skin infection caused by a human mite. The mite burrows into the skin and lays eggs which causes severe itching. There can be a rash which usually looks like small pimples. Common areas to find the rash are between the fingers and toes and along the belt-line.
